Fender Stratocaster 1960

I purchased this 1960 Fender Stratocaster from the son of its original owner in New Jersey recently. His father immigrated from Italy in the mid 1950s and bought this guitar Stratocaster new. He passed away about 5 years ago, but the family couldn't bring themselves to sell the Stratocaster until now. It's a spectacular example of the model from one of its finest years. It's very clean, 100% original throughout, and still has all the case candy.

Make and Model: Fender Stratocaster with Synchronized Tremolo

Year: 1960. Serial number 52920, potentiometer code "304 6020" (304 = Stackpole, 60 = 1960, 20 = 20th week), neck date reading "9/60", and tremolo cavity date reading "8/60".

Measurements: 7.8 lbs / 3.55 kg overall weight. The neck measures 1.66" / 42.3mm wide at the nut (standard 1 5/8" width), 0.80" deep at the first fret, and 0.96" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.43k ohms, middle reads 5.60k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 5.80k ohms.

Originality: 100% 100% 100% no excuses.

Playability:  100% 100% 100%. Am I laying it on too thick? Ok, there's a little fret wear in frets 1-3, but I didn't notice it while playing it. The neck is straight, the truss rod operates as intended, and all electronic contacts are cleaning and functioning properly. It's a blast to play.

Included: Original case, strap, bridge cover, grey cable, and both hang tags.
